Can We Forgive J. Moss Already?

I originally made this post because I was excited that J. Moss was having his CD 'Just James' release party at my church. I googled him to find a little bit more about his background and that's when I came across a number of blogs about him cheating on his wife. On his own website he admits to infidelity and has since moved on. He and his wife are still together, for anyone that's curious.

I am just curious why people are SO interested in knowing if he cheated on his wife??? I would hope that people don't judge Christianity based on the actions of Christians because OBVIOUSLY we are not perfect. It's our Saviour who is.

“Do not judge others, and you will not be judged.
2 For you will be treated as you treat others. The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged.
3 “And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own?
4 How can you think of saying to your friend, ‘Let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when you can’t see past the log in your own eye?
5 Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend’s eye. Matt 7:1-5

  1. I agree with this. We as human race are so quick to judge. God still used the man and just as important J Moss "allowed" the Lord to use his gift to heal and minister to the lost. I suppose that if he was singing about nothing and didn't cheat on his wife then we would all have a different opinion og him??? People please read your bibles and you will see that the David that we all know from David and Goliath was no saint himself. He fornicated, killed many people, and many more things but God still used him and forgave him. That is what Jesus is for....to accept us and forgive us while he works on us. Another point that I feel I should add is that J Moss is a target. And the devil preys on our weaknesses. Yes it was wrong what he did but temptation can get the best of us. Even Jesus was tempted before. What we should do is forgive the man and build him up by praying for he and his family and shame the devil!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. I agree with this comment, God is still able to use J. Moss to minister to people. So if God can forgive him, why can't we?

  3. yeah. it's just kinda said that these extra marital affairs do take prisoners---the prisoners are single women wasting their time with a married man when they should be seeking eligile bachelors. even worse casualty...unborn, unwanted, illegitmate children. moss' wife is the enabler. she is fully aware of his infidility but continues to care for him as a wife..thereby giving him the strength and the confidence to seek women as sexual partners with no strings attached. I believe their marraige is quite open. The casualties are the women who bed him and believe anything real will become of it and any children born from this are the true victims.
